2 Nephi 8

Key Scriptures:

1. vs. 11 - "Therefore, the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy and holiness shall be upon their heads; and they shall obtain gladness and joy; sorrow and mourning shall flee away."

I am reminded of a talk in a recent edition of the Ensign, by Elder Uchdrof, in which he said that for however deep our sorrows are in this life, the Lord will reward us with 100 fold worth of joy. I loved that concept. No matter what we endure in this life, as long as we endure it well, we will be blessed far more than we could ever imagine. I love this particular scripture that speaks of the joy we will have as we establish Zion. Can you imagine? A people of one heart and one mind? YES! Yes I can! I know that I can start small, by being unified with my husband and family. Next, as a ward family, and on and on until we are all unified as sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father.
